Level Guide

Level 1: Platypus (birth to crawling)
Level 2: Wombats (crawling to walking
Level 2/3: Fairy Penguins ( babies 14 months and over not walking)
Level 3/4: Penguins (walking to 2 years)
Level 5/6: Wallabies ( 2 to 3 years )
Level 7: Possums ( School Readiness Stage 1 3 to 4 yrs)
Level 8: Emus (School readiness Stage 2 4 to 6 yrs)

Centre Information

Maitland GymbaROO is located at 11 Steam St Maitland (behind Tradelink the Plumbers with the big silver tap).

Maitland GymbaROO is a COVID safe business registered with NSW Health

We have been operating in Maitland for 18 years and have over 400 children per week

Classes are limited to 14 children.

Adults attend with their children to support them and celebrate their achievements

When enrolling for a new term we reserve bookings for 3 weeks for our current clients

Parking Information

There is a designated car park for 14 cars next to the GymbaROO building

Plus street parking in Steam Street or you can park in the Maitland Station car park and walk one block

We allow 10 minutes between classes for overflow

Pricing

In centre 10 weeks =$ 250

20% Sibling discount for 2nd or 3rd child= $200

Payment is only made on the number of weeks remaining in the current term from when you enrol

Payment plans can be arranged on request

Teachers

Christine Hannan has been teaching at Maitland GymbaROO fro 18 years. She was previously a director of a child care centre. Christine has 2 adult children

Joanne Anderson has been working at Maitland GymbaROO for 14 years as both an Assistant and Teacher. She has two children who both attended for 5 years each.

Lucy White has been Teaching at Maitland GymbaROO for the last year. Lucy is a qualified primary school teacher and mum to four beautiful boys who all attended Gymbaroo aswell.

"GymbaROO Maitland is fabulous! Special mention to teachers Christine and Jo who not only know how to connect with the children but also with parents. Those first few months of being a new parent and not knowing much about what to do with your new baby combined with not knowing other new parents can be both daunting and isolating. Thank goodness we found GymbaROO! Both my children went to GymbaROO since they were 6 months old. Christine does an amazing job incorporating age-related gross and fine motor activities (eg crossing mid-line; pincer grip). The things we learned from GymbaROO are almost second nature now, with both children still do the exercises unknowingly and turning chores into their own games modified from their GymbaROO days. My first-born is now in year 1 and is doing well at school and sports. I have no doubt that my youngest will also be well-equipped as he starts big school next year by GymbaROO. "

Trials

We offer a 3 week trial class for $90

Trial classes are subject to availability. All classes must be completed within the 3 weeks from when you start so if you miss a class we offer a makeup class.

The 3 week trial does not guarantee a place in the class after the trial. A full term enrolment is the only way to ensure you can continue the program and get the best results

Birthday Parties

Birthday parties are offered

Saturdays 2.00 -4.oo pm or 3.00 -5.oo pm

Sundays 10.00 – 12.00 or 2.00 -4.00pm

$350 for two hours

Activities are run by a trained teacher

Suitable for children aged 2 years to 6 years

Maximum of 18 children

We provide a table and birthday table cloth for the food that you provide

Can I Trial a Class?

We offer a 3 week trial.

We believe it takes 3 weeks fro the child to get used to the routine and structure. We compare it to adults starting a new job, not knowing what to do or whats expected

Do you offer Makeup classes?

We allow 2 makeup classes per term. Make up classes must be taken in the current term and can not be refunded.

Do 2 adults have to attend with twins?

Ideally this is a requirement as each child needs assistance to fully participate in the program . if this is not possible we can help out in our smaller classes. We also have classes on Saturday fro each age group

Can I change classes during the term?

We try to accommodate everyone’s needs based on availability

Can 2 carers attend?

We have viewing chairs in the classroom

Do I have to attend the same day and time each week?

Ideally it is better to stay on the same day. Children love routine and on another day there may be a different teacher and different children which may put them off

Can I drop into a class?

Our enrolments are on a term or part there of basis but you are welcome to come and view a class but without your child as it would be too tempting for them
