Class benefits

Our classes are engaging, informative and inclusive of all kids of different developmental needs. Our knowledgeable instructors can help each and every child and their family.

Baby classes help parents understand about baby’s development in the first year of life and how to best assist babies to go through all milestones.

Toddler classes are great for kids on the move. Our obstacle course is designed for mastering climbing, crawling, balancing, etc.

Classes for 3-5 year olds include more advanced movement challenges and a focus on social aspect of working in a group, following instructions, developing independence and preparing your child for kinder and school.

Throughout our program, children develop their gross and fine motor skills, balance and coordination, social and emotional skills, following instructions and routine in the age appropriate, nurturing environment with the safety of their parents’ help and our friendly and supportive staff.

Classes run in 2 parts: exploring the obstacle course in our large hall and group time. Both parts are equally important as they have a different focus and compliment each other. Kids are actively engaged in all activities and age specific information and instructions are provided by the teacher.

GymbaROO Geelong is one of the first centres in Victoria and we are proud to have the community respect and support for over 30 years

Many families have been bringing their children and grandchildren, recommending our classes to their friends and extended family.

Health and allied health practitioners often recommend GymbaROO to support their clients through our program. We are proud to have dedicated staff who stay with us for a long time, who regularly perfect their skills through various professional development courses.

All stuff have a current Working with Children Police check and First Aid training.

Our equipment course changes every 2 weeks providing children with new challenges while always keeping a few favourites like trampoline and various swings. All equipment is designed for young kids up to the age of 6, making GymbaROO a unique and safe place for families.

Our venue has efficient cooling and heating all year round, all abilities access to toilets, ample space for prams.

Parking information

Our centre has free and convenient off street parking right near our entrance. We are located opposite Kmart in Barwon Valley Activity Centre in Belmont. Turn into the service lane to your left and drive along the building towards the traffic lights. You will see a small carpark and our entrance around the corner.

Pricing

Levels 1-7 $24, Level 8 $25 per class, enrolment on a school term basis with upfront payment. Mid term enrolment is welcome, subject to availability.

Teachers

Olga Barrett – Owner operator in Geelong from 2014, GymbaROO teacher from 2012.

Olga has a B Ed (Hons) from a a University in Russia. She has extensive training in Early childhood development and reflexes, is trained in Rhythmic Movement, Masgutova Method (MNRI) and is an INPP practitioner who works with school aged children on behaviour and learning difficulties. Olga teaches all levels, from 1 to 8. Olga has 3 children

Megan Andrews

Megan Andrews has a BA degree in Primary school teaching and has been teaching in GymbaROO Geelong since 2012. Megan teaches level 2-7 classes., She has 2 children, both went to GymbaROO. Geelong classes.

Simone Hancock

Simone Hancock is our assistant and has just celebrated her 20 years with GymbaROO Geelong. She will welcome you when you arrive and answer your phone calls during business hours. Simone has 2 daughters, both of whom went to GymbaROO Geelong.
