Centre Information
GymbaROO is a parent/child education centre. At GymbaROO parents are shown how to involve their children in activities that will provide them with a solid foundation in development and learning. GymbaROO was founded 40 years ago in Australia. We have a maximum of 8 children in each class.
Classroom is air conditioned.
Makeup lessons if you miss a class are available.
Book a makeup by ringing 0403390227.
How does the program work?
GymbaROO aims to prepare your child’s academic success. The activities are not designed to speed up development, but are to ensure that each child gains the full benefit from each developmental stage. The parent/carer attends with the child for a 45 minute session for Toddlers and 30 minute for Babies each week. Each class is age specific, so that all children are at the same developmental stage.
Who runs the classes?
As with all GymbaROO centers our teachers are qualified early childhood educators who have also been trained in neuro-education by GymbaROO.
What happens at a GymbaROO session?
Highly qualified educators have designed the program. Sessions include both, sensory stimulation and motor activities. This includes dance, movement, massage, rhythm, balance, music, equipment and word/picture visualisation, but at all times the focus is on having fun.
Each class includes
- Auditory activities – music, rhythm, listening, dance, songs and rhymes
- Visual activities and eye tracking activities eg parachute
- Fine motor activities – finger plays, posting activities, small equipment
- Gross motor activities – balancing, climbing, crawling, jumping, motor planning, and rolling on purpose built equipment
- Tactility – massage and exercises
- Language – treasure bag

"We have been attending GymbaROO for the last 4yrs. We began when my daughter was 2yrs old but started when my other children turned 6mths. The program is fantastic! I love that each activity is helping brain, body and social development in a fun, interactive way. From a teacher’s perspective, it’s fantastic that the activities are preparing children to achieve success when they begin school. The GymbaROO staff are wonderful and so knowledgeable and my children love interacting with them. We love GymbaROO and look forward to the weekly classes!"
-Liza"GymbaROO is fabulous! Special mention to teachers Christine and Jo who not only know how to connect with the children but also with parents. Those first few months of being a new parent and not knowing much about what to do with your new baby combined with not knowing other new parents can be both daunting and isolating. Thank goodness we found GymbaROO! Both my children went to GymbaROO since they were 6 months old. Christine does an amazing job incorporating age-related gross and fine motor activities (eg crossing mid-line; pincer grip). The things we learned from GymbaROO are almost second nature now, with both children still do the exercises unknowingly and turning chores into their own games modified from their GymbaROO days. My first-born is now in year 1 and is doing well at school and sports. I have no doubt that my youngest will also be well-equipped as he starts big school next year by GymbaROO. "
-Clarissa"GymbaROO is a fun, and very friendly family establishment. It was highly recommended to me by a friend as a way to encourage positive development of my child, but it has been so much more. As a young, first time mum, GymbaROO was fantastic for giving me confidence in how to play with and help my newborn develop important skills. We started at GymbaROO when she was just seven weeks old, and have continued on (she is now 1year). I highly recommend GymbaROO to anyone who will listen! Not only is it brilliant for my child's physical and cognitive development, the social aspect is fantastic too. Living in a rural area limits what interactions my child has with similarly aged children, but with weekly classes she is guaranteed to get some social skills practice."
-Samantha"When I first heard about GymbaROO I decided to do a trial lesson. There I met Christine and Jo - an exceptional duo who provide stimulating and creative lessons. I quickly signed up and have now been part of the GymbaROO family for over a year. My son and I both love these classes and have made so many beautiful friendships. I cannot recommend GymbaROO enough! "
-Kristen"The staff at GymbaROO always go above and beyond to provide a fun and joyous experience for parents, caregivers and children alike. I always leave feeling informed and supported. My daughter lights up when we arrive and she sees where we are!"
-Lisa"My son Archie 3 yr old, loves attending GymbaROO every week and has done so since just before his 1st birthday! It is definitely the highlight of his week! It's been amazing to watch his progress each week & also watch the beautiful friendships he has formed with the other children & of course the beautiful staff of GymbaROO"

Can I Trial a Class?
We offer a 3 week trial.
We believe it takes 3 weeks fro the child to get used to the routine and structure. We compare it to adults starting a new job, not knowing what to do or whats expected
Do 2 adults have to attend with twins?
Ideally this is a requirement as each child needs assistance to fully participate in the program . if this is not possible we can help out in our smaller classes. We also have classes on Saturday fro each age group
Can I change classes during the term?
We try to accommodate everyone’s needs based on availability
Can 2 carers attend?
We have viewing chairs in the classroom
Do I have to attend the same day and time each week?
Ideally it is better to stay on the same day. Children love routine and on another day there may be a different teacher and different children which may put them off
Can I drop into a class?
Our enrolments are on a term or part there of basis but you are welcome to come and view a class but without your child as it would be too tempting for them
Can I do more than 1 class per week?
You can enrol for 2 classes per week @ 20% discount
Is there a sibling discount?
We apply a 20% discount for the second or third child
